ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the risk level of musculoskeletal complaints and work
stress among harvesting employees at PT. Arara Abadi, Siak Regency. This
research was conducted to determine the extent to which ergonomic factors and
workload affect employees' health and well-being in a physically demanding work
environment. The research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive
approach. The population consists of all harvesting employees at PT. Arara Abadi,
with a sample of 15 employees selected purposively. Data collection was carried
out using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire to measure musculoskeletal
complaints and a work stress questionnaire to assess employees' stress levels. The
data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques, including mean
calculations and risk level categorization. The findings indicate that most
employees experience musculoskeletal complaints with varying risk levels,
predominantly falling within the low to moderate categories. The most frequently
affected body parts include the lower back, hands, arms, and calves. Meanwhile,
the analysis of work stress reveals that the average stress level is very high, with
the indicator "The volume of work rarely makes me feel overwhelmed" scoring the
lowest. Factors such as workload, job flexibility, and social support significantly
influence employees' stress levels. This study provides recommendations for the
company to improve workplace ergonomics, adjust workload distribution, and
enhance employee well-being programs to reduce musculoskeletal complaints and
work stress.
