Analisis Pengaruh Investasi, Indeks Pembangunan Manusia, Dan Upah Terhadap Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Di Provinsi Riau

ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the effect of Investment, Human Development Index, and Wages on Labor Absorption in Riau Province sourced from the Riau Provincial Statistics Agency as well as journals and literature related to this research. The data analysis method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of the study Investment in Riau Province showed a significant positive effect on labor absorption. This shows that existing investment has not optimally created employment, possibly due to the dominance of capital-intensive sectors such as oil and gas. Human Development Index (HDI) has a significant negative effect on labor absorption. This may indicate that an increase in HDI is sufficiently integrated with the needs of the local labor market. The minimum wage has a significant positive effect on employment, suggesting that an increase in wages encourages morale and labor productivity without discouraging employers from hiring.
