Pemanfaatan Berbagai Media Alami Sebagai Substrat Penempel Perifiton Dalam Upaya Alternatif Rumah Ikan

Periphyton are organisms that live in the lake waters which are attached to substrates, both natural substrates and artificial substrates. In the waters, Periphyton as the primary producer in the food web. This research aims to determine the natural media (wood, bamboo and palm stem) as periphyton substrate. This research used fish houses as media alternative to collect the fish and determine the type of periphyton abundance. This research was conducted at Panjang Lake Lubuk Siam Village on October-November 2023, Using the random design grup method. The sample was taken every two weeks during the six weeks. The parameters analyzed the periphyton abundance and water quality measurements. The result of the research showed that trere are 18 species of periphyton belonging to 6 classes, namely Bacilliariophyceae (8 species), Euglenopychaea (4 species), Cyanophyceae (2 species),Chlorophyceae (2 species), Crysophyceae (1 species), Zygnemophyceae (1 species). The abundance of periphyton on the bamboo substrate was 4,181 cells/cm2, the wood substrate was 2,098 cells/cm2 and the palm stem substrate was 1,613 cells/cm2. The parameters of quality water were: temperature range 29.7-30.3°C, brightness 45-60 cm, depth 2.66-2.89 m, acidity degree 5-6, CO2 4.7-7.7 mg/ L, DO 4-5.3 mg/L, nitrate 0.08-0.163 mg/L, phosphate 0.83-0.93 mg/L. The results of measure paremeters water quality showed that generally the water quality value was still below the standard threshold for lake water quality and the standard of government PP No.22 Tahun 2021 Kelas III.
