Pengaruh Latihan Clap Push-Up Terhadap Power Otot Lengan Tim Putra Bola Voli MTS Negeri 1 Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the effect of clap push-up training on increasing arm muscle power in the men's volleyball team at MTS Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The research used a one-group pre-test post-test design with a sample of 12 athletes selected using purposive sampling. The instrument used was the overhead medicine ball throw test to measure arm muscle power. The research began with initial data collection (pre-test), then clap push-up exercises were carried out 12 times with a frequency of 3 times per week, and ended with final data collection (post-test). The results of data analysis show that the data distribution is normally distributed (asymp. Sig. > 0.05). Hypothesis testing using the t-test produced a calculated t-value of 4.023 which was greater than the t-table (1.795) at a significance level of 0.05, which shows that there is a significant effect of clap push-up training on increasing arm muscle power. The average increase in throwing distance showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post- test values. From the research results, it can be concluded that the clap push-up exercise is effective in increasing the arm muscle power of the men's volleyball team. This research recommends implementing clap push-up exercises as part of a volleyball training program, taking into account supporting factors such as safety equipment and training duration.
