Asesmen Kerentanan Seismik Rangka Bangunan Beton Bertulang Berdasarkan Skala Makroseismik Eropa (Studi Kasus Gedung Pemerintahan Kabupaten Siak)
Earthquake disasters in Indonesia are currently not only experienced in
areas where earthquakes often occur, but in areas that used to be relatively safer,
earthquakes also occur. The greater the strength of the earthquake in an area, the
greater the coverage area affected by the earthquake. Riau Province, especially
Siak Sri Indrapura Regency, is one area that is in a relatively safe zone. However,
you can still experience an earthquake if the point of occurrence of the earthquake
is near the area itself or because the point of the earthquake has a very large
reach due to the magnitude of the strength of the earthquake itself.
Recently, to evaluate existing buildings, a rapid vulnerability assessment
or rapid screening is carried out. One of the most commonly used rapid
vulnerability assessment procedures is that issued by FEMA. However, often
building assessments provided by regulations, for example FEMA are not
applicable for parties or people who do not have a civil engineering background,
the procedures are complicated or cannot be implemented for various disaster
cases. So that academics in several countries develop vulnerability assessments
that do not involve much mathematical analysis, are simple, can be used by
parties without a civil engineering background, can be used in many countries
and can also be used for disasters other than seismic/earthquake disasters. One of
the vulnerability assessment methods is an assessment procedure based on the
European Seismic Scale.
The test results show that a rapid vulnerability assessment can be carried
out by researchers who do not have a angineer background. So that this
calculation can be done even by ordinary people. This is very helpful for the
assessment of buildings against earthquake damage.
