ABSTRACT
System Integration is an activity that combines two or more businesses
with the aim of increasing profits. The application of the integration of corn and
cattle (Crop Livestock System) is an effort to integrate corn and cattle in the
farmer's farming system. The purpose of the study was to determine the
perception of members of the role of farmer groups (as a learning class,
production unit and a vehicle for cooperation) in the implementation of the
integration system, to determine members' perceptions of the implementation of
institutional aspects and the goals of farmer groups. Respondents amounted to 17
people who are members of the Prima Jaya farmer group. The research was
conducted in Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City in April 2019. The
research method was a survey with a purposive sampling technique. The data
analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test using SPSS 17.0, descriptive
analysis and Likert scale. The results showed: In general, members' perceptions
of the role of farmer groups in the application of the integrated system were in
good category, farmers' perceptions of institutional aspects were in the very good
category, the goals of farmer groups were in good category, indicating that better
farming, better business and better living have been achieved.
