Hubungan Status Hidrasi Dengan Vo2max Pada Atlet Karate Tako Forki Bengkalis
In martial arts, technical quality and good physical condition are required for the game to run smoothly and optimally without any deficiencies in conditioning the body to do so. To avoid dehydration after exercise, it is necessary to drink isotonic and electrolyte-containing drinks, the composition of isotonic drinks is usually carbohydrates and electrolytes. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between hydration status and vo2max in karate athletes. The method in this study uses a correlational research method, the sample in this study uses a total sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a urine test with PURI and a Bleep Test with a distance of 20 meters from the study sample of 8 Bengkalis tako forki karate athletes. † The results of the study showed that there was an association between hydration status and vo2max in Tako Forki Bengkalis Karate athletes. Where the value of rcount = 0.969 > rtable = 0.707 at a significance level of = 5%. In karate sports, sufficient fluid intake during training and during competitions is also a factor that influences the performance of athletes. The better an athlete's hydration status, the better the athlete's endurance. The results of the study are expected to be a reference to pay attention to adequate fluid consumption for the performance of athletes during training and competition.
