Dinasti Politik Di Kepenghuluan Rantau Panjang Kiri Kecamatan Kubu Babussalam Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Tahun 2017-2020

ABSTRACT
The practice of political dynasties is found in the Kepenghuluan Rantau Panjang Kiri, where there has been an effort to maintain power by the chief family for three periods without a break from 1950 to the present. There is no democratic space for evey family in the Kepenghuluan Rantau Panjang Kiri to participate in the process of selecting the chief freely and openly. The purpose of this study is to look at the factors of the occurrence of political dynasties and to see the impact of political dynasties in the Kepenghuluan Rantau Panjang Kiri Kecmatan Kubu Babussalam Kabupaten Rokan Hilir in 2017-2020.
In this study, the autor uses four concepts of the factors driving the spread of political dynasties, namely the ambition of great power from the actors of political dynasties, the political culture of society, the strength financial capital and the strength of the network. The research method used is qualitative research, with the descriptive qualitative research. The research location is the Kepenghuluan Rantau Panjang Kiri Kecamatan Kubu Babussalam Kabupaten Rokan Hilir.
The result of the research carried out were the occurrence of the practice of political dynasties in the position of the chief in the Kepenghuluan Rantau Panjang Kiri. The chief gains power because of the influence of family relationships with previous the chief figures and has financial capital strength, sufficient network strength to make it easier for the incumbent the chief to gain vote support in winning the election of the chief. This practice of political dynasties has an impact on community development which becomes less effective.
