Pengaruh Berbagai Media Yang Diaplikasi Abu Boiler Pabrik Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Di Pre Nursery
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of the application of palm oil mill boiler
ash on different media on the growth of oil palm seedlings and find the best dose of
palm oil mill boiler ash that produces the best growth of oil palm seedlings in the prenursery.
This study used a split plot design, consisting of two factors with three
replications. The main plot is media consisting of three levels (Peat soil, Ultisol,
mixed Peat soil and Ultisol). The sub-plots were palm oil mill boiler ash consisting of
4 levels (0, 10, 15, and 20 g per polybag). Parameters observed were plant height,
number of leaves, humb diameter, root volume, root shoot ratios, and seedling dry
weight. The results showed that the application of palm oil mill boiler ash at a dose of
20 g per plant on peat media increased seedling height, root volume, root stem ratio,
and dry weight of oil palm seedlings significantly compared to without palm oil mill
boiler ash. Each parameter in peat soil media increased higher than Ultisol, and mixed
peat soil and Ultisol .
