Uji Beberapa Dosis Tepung Biji Mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia L.) Terhadap Hama Kumbang Bubuk Beras (Sitophilus Oryzae L.) Di Penyimpanan
ABSTRACT
Sitophilus oryzae L. is a pest that can destructive and lower the quality of
rice in storage. The recommended control is using plant based insecticides using
great morinda seed (Morinda citrifolia L.). This research aims to obtain a dose of
great morinda seed flour (Morinda citrifolia L.) that is effective in controlling the
pest S. oryzae on rice in storage. The research was conducted at Plant Pest
Laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. The research uses a
completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The dose
treatment of great morinda seed flour given to each experimental unit was 6 g .
100 g-1 rice, 7 g . 100 g-1 rice, 8 g . 100 g-1 rice, 9 g . 100 g-1 rice and 10 g . 100 g-1
rice. The observed parameters are the early death, lethal time 50, daily mortality,
total mortality, individual increase and weight depreciation of rice. The results
showed that the provision of great morinda seed flour at a dose of 9 g.100 g-1 rice
was effective to controlling S. oryzae because it can lead to total mortality of
82,5% with early death 30,25 hours after application and LT50 174 hours after
application which is weight depreciation of rice of 3,10% and individual increase
of 6,25 S. oryzae pests.
