ABSTRACT
Communication and information technology that is accessed using the intenet continues to increase in its designation. The impact of Pandemic Covid 19 makes online marketing solutions in meeting community needs. Not only industrial products, but foodstuffs are also sold online. On the other hand, foodstuffs, especially agriculture today in the community do not get more attention to buy online, due to the nature of food that is easily damaged and cannot stand in a certain period of time. This phenomenon shows consumer behavior in shopping for foodstuffs depending on consumer decisions. This study aims to identify the characteristics of consumers and consumer behavior in buying foodstuffs the internet in the city of Pekanbaru and analyzing the relationship between consumer characteristics and consumer behavior in the purchase of foodstuffs the internet in the city of Pekanbaru. 70 research samples. Using descriptive analysis and correlation of Spearman Rank with SPSS 25. The results of this study explained that the characteristics of consumers who buy female food, 17-25 years old, undergraduate education, work as housewives, income of Rp. 3,000,000-4,999,000, foods that are interested in fruits and vegetables are done 1 time in a month. Based on the Rank Spearman correlation test it was found that the characteristics of age significantly related to online shopping attitudes, perceptions of ease of transactions, service quality and products. And the income level is significantly related to the product.
