Uji Konsentrasi Tepung Buah Sirih Hutan (Piper Aduncum L.) Terhadap Callosobruchus Analis F. Pada Biji Kedelai Di Penyimpanan
ABSTRACT
Soybean is the third most important food crop commodity after rice and corn. Pests that attack soybean seeds in storage are soybean powder beetles (Callosobruchus analis F.). Pest control can be done by using forest betle (Piper aduncum L.) vegetable insecticide. This research aims to obtain an effective concentration of forest betle flour to control the attack of Callosobruchus analis F. on soybean seeds in storage. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment given is some concentration of tubal root flour extract, 2 g.100 g-1, 4 g.100 g-1, 6 g.100 g-1 , 8 g.100 g-1 and 10 g.100 g-1 soybean seeds. Parameters observed were early death time, lethal time 50, daily mortality, total mortality, individual increase and seed weight loss. Daily mortality data were analyzed descriptively and displayed in graphical form, while data on initial time of death, lethal time 50, total mortality, individual gain and seed weight loss were statistically analyzed using variance. The data from the analysis of variance will be continued using the further test of honest real difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the concentration of 10 g.100 g-1 soybean seeds was able to control Callosobruchus analis F.with an initial time of death of 5.25 hours, LT50 of 28.75 hours, total mortality of 87.50%, individual increase of 6.75 individuals. and weight loss of soybean seeds by 0.95%.
