Strategi Komunikasi Lingkungan Dalam Pelestarian Taman Nasional Tesso Nilo, Kabupaten Pelalawan Provinsi Riau
The Minister of Forestry issued a Ministerial Regulation that established
Riau Province as the center of Sumatran elephant conservation through Minister
of Forestry Regulation Number P.5 with the hope of being able to answer the
problem of human-elephant conflict in Riau. However, in reality, natural
resources that should be one of the solutions for handling conflicts between
humans and elephants have so far been inseparable from issues that threaten the
integrity of the area, especially elephant habitat. Illegal logging, land
encroachment, and deforestation continue to occur in this area. Conflicts between
environmental ecosystems, communities, governments and others seem to require
appropriate handling and communication strategies. Although so far
communication activities have been carried out, researchers see that there has not
been a common view that has occurred.
This research design uses a qualitative descriptive method with a qualitative
approach. The research starts with a span of 6 months starting from October
2021 to March 2022. The research location is carried out in Tesso Nilo National
Park and community residential areas around TNTN and is in the district
government area. Pelalawan Riau Province. The subjects in this study were 6
people with purposive technique. The object of the research is the environmental
communication strategy in the preservation of Tesso Nilo National Park, Riau
Province. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation
and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out by data
