Biodiversitas Ikan Di Danau Gatal Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Provinsi Riau
Abstract
Gatal Lake is a natural lake that receive water from the Rokan River during the rainy season. This lake is inhabited by many fish species. However, the information about the type of fish in that area is limited. To understand the types of fish present in the Gatal lake, a study has been conducted in November 2021 to March 2022. Fish sampling were conducted once a week / month until no new species found. The fishes were captured using anglers, nets and fish traps. Fish samples were then identified. Results shown that the fish caught consists of 3 orders, 13 families, 14 genera and 15 species. The fish species diversity (H’) in the Gatal lake was 3.62, the dominance index was 0.36 and the uniformity was 0.08. The water quality values of the lake were as follows: temperature 28oC-32oC, brightness 39-45 cm, depth 109-111 cm, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 3.9-4.3 mg/L and carbon dioxide 5.89-7.99 mg/L. Based on the diversity index value, the fish in the Gatal was classified as low. There were fishes that never been found in the lake before, namely Oxygaster anomalura, Scatophagus argus, Kryptoperus bicirrhis and Belontia haseltti.
