Pengaruh Pemberian Atonik Terhadap Perkecambahan Benih Aren (Arenga Pinnata Merrill.)
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of giving atonic with different concentrations on the germination of sugar palm seeds (Arenga pinnata Merrill.), and to obtain the best atonic concentration. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, from January to 2022. This research was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment given was the difference in atonic concentration consisting of 5 treatments, namely: Z0 = No atonic concentration Z1 = 5 ml.l-1 atonic concentration of water Z2 = 10 ml.l-1 atonic concentration of water Z3 = 15 ml.l-1 atonic concentration of water Z4 = 20 ml.l-1 atonic concentration of water. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using variance and continued with Duncan's multiple range test at the 5% level. Parameters observed were apokol emergence time (DAS), apokol diameter (mm), apokol length (cm), apokol emergence percentage (%), plumule emergence time (DAP) and plumule diameter (mm). Giving 20 ml.l-1 atonic concentration of water can stimulate and increase the germination process of sugar palm seeds, namely the emergence of apokol, percentage of apokol emergence, time of emergence of plumules and length of plumule.
