Model Pengelolaan Penyiaran Digital (Studi Kasus Pada Persiapan Analog Switch Off 2022 Di Provinsi Riau)

This study aims to find out an overview of the digital broadcasting
management model with a case study on the preparation of Analog Switch Off
(ASO) or the migration of analog to digital television in Riau Province which will
take place on November 2, 2022. The readiness of the Republic of Indonesia
Television (TVRI) Riau as the manager of digital television multiplexing in all
service areas in Riau Province and the readiness of the community to receive
digital television broadcasts in Riau Province are the main focus.
This research uses descriptive qualitative approach with a case study
research method. The primary data obtained directly through interviews from
several sources that are directly related to the preparation of Analog Switch Off
(ASO) in Riau Province and observation data collection techniques.
The results showed that the digital broadcasting management model in
Riau Province is good in terms of the quality of digital broadcasting (digital
television multiplexing infrastructure), choice of broadcast programs (digital
television broadcasting programs), device support (ecosystem of digital television
broadcast receivers – Set Top Box) and the level of public knowledge and
understanding of digital television is still not optimal in an effort to support the
preparation for the implementation of Analog Switch Off (ASO) in Riau Province.
