Pengaruh Cyber Public Relations Terhadap Citra Perguruan Tinggi Swasta Favorit Di Provinsi Riau
This Cyber PR research aims to determine the effect of Cyber PR on the
image of private universities in Riau Province. A total of 8 private universities in
Riau Province have been surveyed regarding cyber PR activities on the Website
and social media Facebook, Instagram and Youtube, Public Relations (PR) of
Private Higher Education (PTS).
This research is based on the Uses And Effect Theory which explains the
relationship between the variables studied and uses quantitative methods, by
conducting a survey on a population unit totaling 66,935 and 399 samples
consisting of PTS students in Riau Province, then analyzed using a simple linear
regression technique with SPSS 16.0 application.
The results of the study explain that t-arithmetic table or 17,246 0.098
means that there is a significant influence between Cyber PR on the image of PTS
in Riau Province. Then, through the correlation coefficient test of 65.4% which
proves that there is a strong relationship between variables, and it is found that
the value of determination (R-Square) is 0.428, which means that the influence of
the Cyber PR variable (X) on the image of private universities (Y) is by 42.8%. So
it is concluded that cyber PR activities have a strong enough influence on the
image of PTS.
