Komunikasi Politik Pasangan Andi Putra-Suhardiman Amby (ASA) Dalam Memenangkan Pemilukada Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Tahun 2020 Pada Masa Covid 19
The covid-19 epidemic, which struck in early 2020, caused regional head
election activities to be disrupted. Kuantan Singingi district is one of the regions
holding regional head elections in 2020. The covid-19 epidemic has hampered
each pair of regional head candidates' political campaign activities The great
campaign is one of the events that cannot be carried out during the regional head
election due of the covid-19 pandemic. Pairs of regional head candidates who
advance in regional head elections have limited and dominant campaigns that use
the media as a tool to convey programs. visions and missions to be known by the
public who are unable to campaign directly limited merting face to face .
The purpose of this study was to determine the political communication
and communication style of the Andi Putra-Suhardiman Amby (asa) couple in
winning the 2020 Kuantan Singingi Regional Election during the covid-19 period.
This research is a descriptive qualitative study theory of symbolic interaction and
this finding is based on Hafied Cangara's political concept as political
communication, election of political communicators, political messages, political
media, political targets and political communication effects and also
communication style. amby, and the chairman of the DPRD from the Golkar
faction
The research result that Andi Putra-Suhardiman Amby (ASA) 1. couple's
political communication strategy employs community leaders as political
communicators 2."Asa" and "Bermarwah" are political messages. Then, 3. using
online media and social media to convey political messages 4. with no
differentiation of target community, 5. the pair Andi Putra-Suhardiman Amby
(asa) won the election for the regional head of the Kuantan Singingi Regency. The
communication style of the couple Andi Putra-Suhardiman Amby (asa) 1. Verbal
communication with vocabulary clearly speaking, speed firmly speak, humor 2.
Nonverbal communication with clothing and touch.
