SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATION IN MANGROVE MANAGEMENT AND TOURISM FOR ABRASION PREVENTION AT RAJA KECIK BEACH, BENGKALIS REGENCY

Advisor: Dr. Yasir, M.Si Based on data from the Bengkalis Regency Environmental Agency in 2016, the length of the critical area affected by abrasion is 46.5 km. Since 1990 until now, one kilometer of the zero point of the village has been lost falling into the sea with a lip length of about six kilometers. Realizing the potential for these disasters, prevention efforts are needed, one of which is through sustainable development communication where development while still paying attention to the environment and is sustainable. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe how the community's efforts, coordination, and participation regarding sustainable development communication in mangrove management and tourism for the prevention of abrasion at Raja Kecik Beach, Bengkalis regency. This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were seven people based on purposive techniques. Data collection is carried out through interviews, documentation, and observation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, the technique of checking the validity of data uses triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that the efforts that have been made in sustainable development on the Raja Kecik beach are quite good. The form of communication carried out is in the form of the construction of a bridge datuk bandar jamal which has the intention of conveying a message to the entire Bengkalis community to jointly protect the natural environment where humans live. This bridge is also a symbol of joint management with the community in managing the king kecik beach. Furthermore, the President's visit in Bengkalis is also a form of communication carried out to make the public aware of how much impact can be felt due to the abrasion on raja kecik beach. The coordination that has been carried out on the king of Kecik beach has also been done well even though from the local government itself there is not too much that can be felt. The role of social media here is very large, various information and messages can be found through Instagram posts @wisata_raja_kecik accounts. The community is also part of the management in the development on the king kecik beach. Local communities have substantial top and involvement in development and management.
