Identifikasi Jenis Dan Kelimpahan Mikroalga Dari Sungai Rawa Kawasan Taman Nasional Zamrud Kabupaten Siak
ABSTRACT
In the Rawa River, Zamrud National Park, Siak, there are many types of microalgae. This study aims to dtermine the types of microalgae that exist in Rawa River. A study aims to understand the microalgae that are potencial for bioethanol raw materials has been conducted on March – April 2021. Microalgae samplings were conducted in 9 stations placed in the upstream – downstream of the river. Macroalgae was sampled using a plankton net no 25. Samplings were conducted once and in each station. 100 liters water were taken and then filtered using the plankton net into 100 mL. The macroalgae was fixed using lugol 1% and then they were analyzed using a binocular microscope Olympus CX 21. Results shown that there are 28 species present and they are belonged to 8 classses, namely Bacillariphyceae (15 species), Chlorophyceae (3 species), Cyanophyceae (2 species), Euglenophyceae (3 species), Eustigmatophyceae (1 species), Trebouxiophyceae (1 species), Ulvophyceae (1 species), and Zygnematophyceae (2 species). The total abundance of microalgae in each station was various (119-1428 cells/l). However, in several types of microalgae such as Bacillaria sp., Chlorella sp., Trachelomonas sp., Nannochloropsis sp., and Cyclotella sp. is the exception. These five types of microalgae were found in all research stations.
