Analisis Pola Dan Perilaku Konsumsi Sayur Dan Buah Oleh Rumahtangga Di Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the diversity of household consumption patterns of vegetables and fruits according to household income, number of household members, and education of housewives in Riau Province. This study was analyzed with an econometric approach using the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) model and the Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR) method. The analysis is carried out by making a demand function model for vegetable and fruit commodities taken from raw data from the National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) for Riau Province in 2020. The results show that higher income levels will affect the proportion of vegetable and fruit expenditure. is decreasing and some is increasing. As the number of household members increases, the proportion of household expenditure tends to increase and some decrease. The high level of education of housewives will increase the consumption of beans, vegetable tomatoes, carrots, bean sprouts, lodeh, oranges, mangoes, apples, duku, durian, Ambon bananas, other bananas, papaya, watermelon, fruit tomatoes and other fruits. The consumption pattern of vegetable and fruit demand is indicated by an R2 value between 0.37 to 0.82. The policy implication that can be done is to invite people to consume a variety of vegetables and fruits from the archipelago, which are and are widely available in local areas. Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) which is a systematic and planned action carried out jointly by all components of the nation with awareness, willingness and ability to behave in a healthy manner, in order to improve the quality of life in consuming vegetables and fruit as a source of vitamins.
