Identifikasi Senyawa Bioaktif Dan Aktivitas Antioksidan Ekstrak Rumput Laut Hijau (Caulerpa Lentillifera) Kering
ABSTRACT
Caulerpa lentillifera is a green seaweed that has bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity. This study was aimed to determine the yield, bioactive compounds, and antioxidant activity of dried Caulerpa lentillifera extract. The research method used is explorative, by extraction using different solvents (methanol, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane) and the data were analyzed descriptively. Parameter analysis consisted of yield, qualitative/quantitative phytochemical and antioxidant activity. The results showed that the yield of Caulerpa lentillifera extract was extracted with methanol, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane, respectively 0.70%, 0.58%, and 0.53%. The bioactive components of methanol extract are alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and phenolics, ethyl acetate extracts are alkaloids, steroids/terpenoids, and phenolics, and n-hexane extracts are steroids/terpenoids and saponins. The total phenol content of methanol and ethyl acetate extracts was 0.16% and 0.10%, respectively. Saponin content in n-hexane extract was 0.15% Alkaloid in methanol exctrat was 0.12%. The antioxidant activity of Caulerpa lentillifera in methanol, etyla acetate, and n-hexane was 164.531, 211.537, 236.749 ppm. The bioactive compounds of Caulerpa lentillifera are alkaloids, phenolics and saponins. The highest content of phenolic compounds was 0.16%. The highest antioxidant activity was in methanol extract with an IC50 value of 164.531 ppm.
