Strategi Peremajaan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Rakyat Di Desa Bagan Sapta Permai Kecamatan Bagan Sinembah Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the factors of delay in replanting smallholder oil palm plantations, to find out the source of income of the planters during the replanting period, and to formulate a replanting strategy of smallholder oil palm plantations. This research was conducted in Bagan Sapta Permai Village, located in Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. This study uses a survey method. The sampling technique for the first and second purposes used purposive sampling with the criteria of “planters who had replanted but were late” as many as 30 planters, samples were taken from members of Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) Anugerah. The third objective is to use a sample of 5 people who are considered experts in oil palm replanting. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, to answer the first and second objectives, while the third objective uses AWOT (AHP-SWOT) analysis. The results of this study show that the biggest delay in replanting smallholder oil palm plantation is that 45% of the planters feel that their oil palm plantations are still sufficient for the family’s needs. The largest source of income for planters during the replanting period was from oil palm plants which were still productive at 51.85%. The replanting strategy that can be applied is that the planters and KUD carry out an independent joint replanting program and KUD facilitates training and counseling related to replanting for planters with a highest priority value of 0.378.
