(WULING MOTORS) IN INCREASING SALES IN PEKANBARU

Advisor : Evawani Elysa Lubis, M.Si This research is motivated by the author's interest in a marketing communication phenomenon carried out by Wuling Motors in increasing sales in Pekanbaru. Wuling Motors is a company engaged in the automotive sector, Wuling Motors is a newcomer brand in Indonesia. The marketing communication practice model used in this study is the concept of Marketing Communication which consists of several communication elements, namely advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, and direct marketing. Therefore, this study aims to determine the marketing communications used by Wuling Motors in increasing sales in Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative method with descriptive analysis and consisted of 5 informants who were selected using a purposive technique that collected data and information through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. To carry out data validity the author uses observation extension techniques, increases persistence, and uses reference materials. This study shows that marketing communication elements such as advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, and direct marketing are very influential for Wuling Motors Pekanbaru in increasing sales. The form of advertising that is done is not only using print media, but on various other social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and websites. In increasing sales, companies also need to hold sales promotions to attract more consumers. In addition, personal selling is also needed in marketing, so that it is easier for them to explain to consumers about the product to be purchased. And the most recently used element of marketing communication is direct marketing, this element is much easier to attract consumer interest so that the sales target market will be achieved each month.
