Use ofthe IMA Applicationatthe National and Political
UnityAgency in Supervisingthe News Media
in Pekanbaru City

The National Unityand Political Agency ( Bakesbangpol ) of Pekanbaru City
has a support ingapplicationthatcan beused to monitor the flowof news dissemination
called the IMA ( Intelligence Media Analytics) application. IMA isanapplication
developed to analyzevarious news circulating in the Pekanbaru media which
waslaunched in November 2019. One of the dominating issue sisthat there is sentiment
in the formof positive, negative and neutral news data so that this must require
supervision and monitor in go faccurate news especial lyhandling hoax news.
This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodwithinter view, observation,
and documentation research methodsanalyzed through CMC ( Computer Mediated
Communication ) theory. The research subjects were 3 people.
The result softhis study are theuseofthe IMA ( Intelligence Media Analytics)
application consistingof online TV media around 100-150, data
regardinginformationon Top peoplearound 72,000 people, forprint media around
80,000, online media around 350,000 more, for Top There are 70,000 people who
aimtoanalyze, review, detect, and monitor news cover ageofallexisting media and play
a role in view ingvarious current issues, filtering positive news, negative and neutral
news throughvarious processes, namely news filtering and backing up news usingasyn
chronous foreignsystems and synchronous. In the sub evaluation of the useofthe IMA
application consists of crossandcheck. Adding sub-features, and maximizing divisional
jobdesks, including the Division of Ideology and National Insight, DomesticPolitics,
National Awareness, and Economic, Cultural, Religious, Community Resilience.
Meanwhile, the problem with this application is not so significant, It just happens
because the application is down and the server is problematic but does not interfere
with the operation of the application because there cover yonlyreaches 6 hours.
