THE INFLUENCE OF @ivanlanin's INSTAGRAM CONTENT ON THE
FULFILLMENT OF INFORMATION NEEDS REGARDING THE
INDONESIAN SPELLING GENERAL GUIDELINES (PUEBI) FOR
FOLLOWERS

Social media is a place that is often used by influencers (influencers) to share
information, because through social media, influencers can directly connect with their
followers, making it easier for them to interact with each other and get direct
responses from followers. One of the influencers who use social media as a medium to
disseminate information in the form of education about PUEBI and language is
@ivanlanin. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of
@ivanlanin's Instagram content on the fulfillment of PUEBI information on its
followers.This research relates to the theory of S-O-R (Stimulus - Organism -
Response) put forward by Hovland in 1953. The material object of this theory is a
human whose soul includes components; attitude, opinion, behavior, cognition,
affection, and conation. The basic assumption of this theory is that the cause of
behavior change depends on the quality of the stimulus Stimulus (communicator) that
communicates with the organism (communicant).
This study uses an explanatory quantitative method with a simple random
sampling technique with the Slovin formula and gets a total of 400 respondents. The
distribution of the questionnaire/questionnaire in the form of google form and the data
analysis techniques used were simple linear regression and the coefficient of
determination (R2). The tool used to process the research results is the SPSS version
25 application.
Based on the results of simple linear regression analysis, it shows the value of
Y = 2.278 + 0.397X with the value of constant (a) of 2.278, and the coefficient of X
variable of 0.397. While the t count of 48.001 is greater than the t table of 1.971,
where Ha is accepted with a significance of 0.005. The results of data processing on
the variable X indicator reach an average of 3.80, on the Courteous indicator scale
3.85, Correct scale 3.83, Concise scale 3.81, Concreate scale 3.80, Clarity and
Complete scale 3.78, and Coherent scale of 3.78. While on the Y variable, the average
indicator reaches a scale of 3.81, on Cognitive with a scale of 3.86, Social Integration
with a scale of 3.84, Personal Integration with a scale of 3.83, Release with a scale of
3.77, and Affection with a scale of 3.76.It is concluded that the influence of
@ivanlanin Instagram content on the fulfillment of information needs regarding
PUEBI for its followers is in the very high category.
