Abstract
SELF-DISCLOSURE OF STUDENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA TWITTER (VIRTUAL ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDY ACCOUNT AUTOBASE @COLLEGEMANFESS)

The phenomenon of self-disclosure on social media today often occurs, among them is on the autobase account on twitter as evidenced by the many autobase accounts that can be found on twitter with various characteristics. Users do self-disclosure through an autobase account anonymously, they make this account a place to express themselves. This is also found on the autobase account with the most followers, the @collegemenfess account, where students search for information, exchange stories and views related to the world of lectures. The purpose of this study was to determine the shape of the area and the background of self-disclosure and cyber culture formed on the autobase @collegemenfess account.
The research is qualitative research with virtual ethnography methods and Cyber media analysis techniques. The subjects of this study were students @collegemenfess account users totaling five people who were determined based on purposive techniques. Data collection is done through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. In addition, data validity techniques using source triangulation.
The results showed that there are two forms of johari Window area that occurs in self-disclosure in @collegemenfess account, namely occurs in the open area and the blind area. In addition, the background of users doing self-disclosure there are five, namely because, @collegemenfess account is anonymous, afraid to tell stories with others directly, share information and experiences, overcome problems and get a better understanding, as well as motivation and self-actualization. then the cyber culture formed from self-disclosure that occurs in the @collegemenfess account is analyzed through Cyber media analysis, namely at the level of the media space, the @collegemenfess account uses twitter as a medium. The Level of media archive, which become media documents in this account are menfess, interactions, activities and responses from users both in the form of comments and others, in the form of messages, text, photos or images. At the media object Level, The @collegemenfess account is used as a place for discussions such as exchanging stories and expressing yourself, both in the form of long texts and in the form of visuals such as photos or screenshots.Level of experiential stories, the reason the account owner created this account to provide a communication platform for students. The culture of using anonymous identities on these accounts is also a strong reason for users to be more comfortable and dare to self-disclosure.
