ABSTRACT
Community participation in the development of village infrastructure on
Busuk Island, Inuman District, Kuantan Singingi Regency is classified as passive
participation, due to the absence of transparency by village officials regarding the
infrastructure and village funds provided. To determine community participation,
an interview was conducted using a questionnaire.
This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study
indicate that the level of community participation in village development in Pulau
Busuk Village, Inuman District, is in the moderate category. This is evidenced by
the combined score of the areas of community participation with an average of
50.19% or within the Likert Scale interval of 40-60%.
Several factors related to community participation in village
development in Pulau Busuk Village are age, gender, education, occupation and
length of stay.
