ABSTRACT
The research conducted in Indragiri Hilir aims to determine the effect of GRDP, land area, and the minimum wage on employment in the agricultural sector in Indragiri Hilir Districts.
The data processing technique uses multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method through the SPSS 23 program. The data used in this study were sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Riau Province and Indragiri Hilir.
The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the GRDP and minimum wage variables have no effect on employment in the agricultural sector in Indragiri Hilir Districts. While the variable area of land in the agricultural sector has an influence on the absorption of labor. Involvement of the results of research on labor absorption in the agricultural sector on independent variables does not all have an influence so that it can be concluded that the factors that affect employment in the agricultural sector in Indragiri Hilir Districts are only land area.
