Ekstraksi Karotenoid Karapas Lobster Air Tawar (Cherax Quadricarinatus) Dengan Pelarut Aseton Konsentrasi Berbeda
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the value of chemical analysis and yields produced by crayfish carapace flour. Knowing the differences in concentrations of acetone can affect the extract on the carapace flour of crayfish. Obtain the value of the concentration of the Acetone solution used in order to get the best carotenoid extraction. Knowing the value of carotenoid content of freshwater crayfish carapace flour extract. The research method consisted of two stages, namely: 1) Sample preparation, 2) Calculation of carotenoid content using acetone solvents with different concentrations of 70%, 80% and 90%. Parameters observed consisted of chemical analysis, yield, and test for carotenoid content. The results showed that the chemical composition was 16.09% water content, 55.60% ash content, 11.73% protein content, 8.35% fat content, and 8.23% carbohydrate content. With an average flour yield value of 40.66%. And the content of carotenoid levels in acetone concentration of 70% is 43,38 μg/g, concentration of 80% is 78,22 and concentration of 90% is 121,97. The higher the solvent concentration, the more carotenoid content extracted.
