Pengaruh Pendapatan Dan Konsumsi Terhadap Tabungan Masyarakat Kota Pekanbaru Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19

ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine income and consumption of household savings in Pekanbaru City during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a quantitative research, in which households are the object of research. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires directly to 100 household respondents using a random sampling technique. The analytical test tool used in this study was Multiple Linear Regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach using the Eviews 10 statistical program. The results of this study indicated that the income variable had a significant effect (0.0000) in a positive direction (0.845444) on household savings. The consumption variable has a significant effect (0.0000) in a negative direction (-0.823594) on household savings. Based on the results of the F test, it is known that the income and consumption variables together have a significant effect on household savings in Pekanbaru City during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the output results on the coefficient of determination, it is known that the income and consumption variables jointly affect household savings by 88%, while the remaining 12% is explained by other variables not present in this study.
