ABSTRACT
This research carried out for 30 days in July 2022 at the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, University of Riau. Jl. Bina Widya Km 12.5 Panam, Pekanbaru, Riau. This study aims to determine what is the optimal dose of viterna plus supplements to increase the growth and survival of red tilapia. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatment levels and 3 times test. The baung fish seeds used had an average weight of 0.87. The test fish were put into the aquarium with a stocking density of 15 fish. The test feed used was in the form of pellets with the addition of viterna plus supplements to the red tilapia seed feed at a dose of 10,15,20,25 ml/kg of feed. The results showed that there was an effect of feeding with viterna plus supplements on the growth of absolute weight, absolute length, specific growth rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion, and survival of red tilapia ( ). The best results were feeding in the P3 treatment which was added with 20 ml/kg viterna feed which was able to increase the highest growth rate and the lowest FCR value. Which resulted in an absolute weight growth of 0.4300 g, an absolute length growth of 0.2200 cm, a specific growth rate of 2.74%, feed efficiency of 81.52%, feed conversion of 1.23, and survival of 86.66 %. The results of water quality measurements during the study were temperature 28-29.9 ℃, pH 6.10-7.73, DO 3.10-5.80 mg/l, and ammonia 0.001-0.014 mg/l.
