Gambaran Psikologis Pasien Cedera Isolated Anterior Cruciate Ligament Pasca Operasi Rekonstruksi Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru Periode 2018–2020

A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY TO ASSES PSYCHOLOGY OF ISOLATED ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT INJURY PATIENTS POST-RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY AT ARIFIN ACHMAD HOSPITAL PEKANBARU 2018–2020 PERIOD

Background: Anterior cruciate ligament injuries are caused by excessive resistance to anterior displacement of the tibia against the femur, causing injuries that can have an impact on the patient's psychology, due to restrictions on sports or activities that are functional disorders, and fear of recurrence of injuries on the ACL.
Objectives: To find out the general psychological profile and asses psychology of post-reconstruction surgery patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury at Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru Hospital for the 2018–2020 period.
Methods: This research method used cross sectional method. This research was conducted at the Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru Hospital from June to December 2021. Data were collected through the medical records of isolated anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) patients and filling out a questionnaire using the Indonesian version of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament–Return to Sport after Injury (ACL-RSI) which has been validated. Patients will fill this questionnaire through Google Form and guided interviews.
Results: The results of 10 patients with anterior cruciate ligament injuries were assessed, there’s 8 men (80%), 2 women (20%), the average age of patient was 28.3 years old (95% CI: 23.71-32.89) with a standard deviation of 6.413 years old. The interval estimation results concluded that it was 95% believed that the average age of the population was between 23.71–32.89 years old. All assessed patients were non-athlete (10 people with a percentage of 100%), there are no athlete patient, ACL injury patients were assessed mostly due to sports activities (as many as 7 people with a percentage of 70%), while ACL injury patients caused by daily activities as many as 3 people with a percentage of 30%. The results of the psychological assessment of 10 post-construction ACL injured patients, found 6 people with improved conditions (60%) and 4 people with worsening conditions (40%).
