LECTURE OPINION ABOUT KAMPUNG PELITA MEDIKA AS
COMMUNITY-BASED EDUCATION IN THE COASTEL AREA ON
PRECLINIC STUDENT

Kampung Pelita Medika is a program from FK UNRI that has an orientation
towards the society as a community and the villages as a learning tools for
preclinic student. This study aimed to determine lecture opinion about the
implementation of KPM as a Community-Based learning. This research is a
qualitative research with narrative approach. The results of this study stated that
lecture FK UNRI believed that there were benefits of KPM, among others, make
FK UNRI better known to the public, as an Early Exposure for students, and
contributing to public health. Constraints of KPM are regarding time allocation
and lack coordination of compulsory study in the faculty with KPM activities. This
study shows the tecnical improvement KPM implementation are provide a special
assessment portion for KPM activities, improve coordination of compulsory study
in the faculty with KPM activities, and clarify the position of KPM in the
curriculum. This research shows there were several benefits of KPM, some
constraints, and the suggestion from the lecture for techinical improvements in the
implementation of KPM that should be improved.
