ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of factors of production (land area,
labor, fertilizers and pesticides), to measure technical, allocative, economic efficiency
and the scale of production results in oil palm plantations. This study uses a survey
method with a census method. The number of independent oil palm smallholders in
this research area is 50 farmers. Data analysis method of douglass cobb production
function and stochastic frontier production function. The results of the study are the
average technical efficiency obtained from the analysis using the stochastic frontier
production function model of 0.75, where the production of oil palm plantations in the
study area has reached 75% of the maximum production limit, the overall price
efficiency value is 7, 64, where the number is greater than 1 and must be reduced in
order to be efficient in price. Oil palm plantations in the study area are not
economically efficient because the economic efficiency value obtained is 5.73. From
the results obtained, because the efficiency value is more than 1, it is necessary to
reduce it so that it can be economically efficient. The sum of the elasticity coefficients
of each production factor yields a value of 1.47 which can be concluded that farming
is on a scale of increasing yields. The Ep value is between 1 to 2, namely 1.47, which
means that the addition of one unit of production factor can still increase production
yields between 1 and 2. Based on calculations using Frontier 4.1 software with the
MLE method, it is known that all input variables given have a positive influence.
sequentially from the biggest effect to the smallest are the variables of ZA fertilizer,
KCL fertilizer, dolomite fertilizer, herbicides, labor, and land area.
