ABSTRACT
Garbage is the residue from human activities in the form of solid waste. Waste needs to be managed so as not to cause negative impacts. One of the efforts in managing waste is by carrying out waste transportation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate waste transportation and provide planning related to waste transportation in Marpoyan Damai District. This study uses field observation methods to obtain processed data. The results showed that Marpoyan Damai District used a direct transportation system with a percentage of 66% of waste transported to TPA. This figure is in accordance with the target Minimum Service Standards (SPM). The longer the distance covered in a route, the longer it takes. The total time used for transporting garbage per trip is 7.454 hours / trip, with an average of 2 trips / day and an average off route time of 0.357 hours with an off route factor of 0.039. Based on this, it is necessary to change the route including adding TPS, changing transportation routes and adding transport vehicles. The need for transport vehicles at the end of the planning period is 9 units of dump trucks with a capacity of 10 m3 and 3 units of armroll trucks with a capacity of 12 m3.
