Uji Dosis Formulasi Cair Metarhizium Anisopliae Metsch. Di Kompos (Metankos) Terhadap Mortalitas Larva Oryctes Rhinoceros L. Pada Tanaman Kelapa Sawit
ABSTRACT
There are many palm oil plants in Riau Province. The waste of palm oil empty fruit bunches (POEFB) produced can be composted and added by the biological agent Metarhizium anisopliae to control the Oryctes rhinoceros L pest. This study aims to obtain the best dosage of the liquid formulation of Metarhizium anisopliae Metsch. in metankos on mortality of Oryctes rhinoceros L. larvae in palm oil plants. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using the SAS application and the DNMRT follow-up test at the 5% level. Parameters observed were changes in behavior and morphology of Oryctes rhinoceros L. larvae, time of initial death, lethal time 50, lethal doses 50% and 95%, daily mortality, total mortality, conidial density, temperature and humidity. The results showed that the best dose of Metarhizium anisopliae liquid formulation on compost media was 210 g.l-1 per 5 kg compost with a total mortality of 90%. The liquid formulation dose of Metarhizium anisopliae 120 g.l-1 per 5 kg compost has been categorized as a bioinsecticide because it has caused the death of Oryctes rhinoceros L. larvae by 72.5% in palm oil plants.
