Perbandingan Math Anxiety Dan Interest In Learning Mathematics Siswa Laki-Laki Dan Perempuan Sekolah Dasar Di Pekanbaru

This study aims to determine whether there is a comparison of math anxiety and
interest in learning mathematics for male and female elementary school students
in Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative survey research using survey
comparative methods. . In this study, there was a population of 129 students taken
from 3 elementary schools, namely SDIT Imam Syafi'i Cendikia Pekanbaru, SDIT
Az-Zuhra Pusat, SDN 192 Pekanbaru. The data analysis technique in this study
was the independent sample t-test and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney u test.
The results of this study indicate that there are differences in math anxiety and
interest in learning mathematics for male and female students. this can be proven
by the results of calculating the average math anxiety of male students, namely
72.9 and female students, 63.1. While the results of the study of interest in
learning mathematics showed an average of 76.09 male students and 51.85
female students. From the explanation above it can be seen that there is a
significant difference between the math anxiety of male and female students,
where the math anxiety of male students is lower than that of female students,
meaning that male students are less worried or less anxious than female students
and are interested in in learning mathematics male students are higher than
female students, meaning that male students have a better interest in learning
mathematics than female students.
