Penerapan Pendekatan Active Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Partisipasi Dan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas 4 SDN 123 Pekanbaru
The problem was found from the results of the author’s observation of grade 4 students of SD Negeri 123 Pekanbaru that when learning mathematics, students were still less active when solving the problems given and learning outcomes were low.The purpose of this study is to improve student participation and learning outcomes in the learning process by applying the Active Learning approach. This research model is action research. The data collection in the study here uses observation and test methods. The data is processed using qualitative data and simple statistics. The conclusion of this study is that in mathematics learning it is necessary to build an encouraging atmosphere and can attract students' interest in learning so that students can actively participate in their learning. The learning process carried out in groups is able to increase student participation in learning. As for improving student learning outcomes, namely by providing questions about the material to be delivered. Students can then answer the questions given according to their respective opinions. So thus students will find it easier to understand the relationship between the material to be delivered.
