Tata Kelola Perpustakaan Sekolah Sebagai Sarana Literasi Siswa Sekolah Dasar
The library is an integral part in a school, as well as a fulfillment of learning resources
and self-development media for students in literacy activities. But in its
implementation, it still has a problem, such as a lack of serious understanding of the
role and function of school libraries in the quality learning process. This study aims to
describe the role of libraries as a source of learning for elementary school students.
This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with interview techniques to
students, library managers, principals, and class teachers. Data analysis techniques
used with data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusions. Test the
validity of the data by triangulation techniques. The results of the study can be
concluded that the reading materials contained in the school library affect the use of
literacy facilities by elementary school students at SDN 011 Bangko Bakti, Bangko
Pusako District. This is evidenced by the results of data graph analysis of student visits
to the library and data graphs of borrowing reading materials. Libraries with a good
management system tend to influence students' interest in visiting and utilizing the
library as a means of learning and also refer to the quality of the impact of literacy.
This was studied through the results of interview analysis data and observations.
