Pengaruh Pemberian Kompos Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (Tkks) Dan Pupuk Npk Grower Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Tanaman Kakao (Theobroma Cacao L.)
ABSTRACT
Cocoa is an important plantation crop for the national economy and a source of foreign exchange. The problem faced in large-scale cocoa nurseries is the limited top soil as a planting medium in polybags, One of them is Ultisol. Ultisols are widespread in Indonesia and are classified as marginal, requiring efforts to improve soil fertility. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of TKKS compost and NPK Grower on the growth of cocoa seedlings and to obtain suitable treatment rates for the growth of cocoa seedlings. The research ran from November 2021 to January 2022. The study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was Compost of Oil Palm Empty Bunches (K), which consisted of four levels, namely: K0 = No treatment, K1 = EFB compost at a dose of 20 g per plant, K2 = EFB compost at a dose of 40 per plant, K3 = EFB compost at a dose of 60 g per plant. The second factor was NPK grower fertilizer which consisted of four levels, namely (P): P0 = Without treatment, P1 = NPK fertilizer dose of 1 g per plant, P2 = NPK fertilizer dose of 2 g per plant, P3 = NPK fertilizer dose of 3 g per plant. The results showed that the interaction of OPEFB compost and NPK plant fertilizer did not tend to affect all growth parameters of 84-day cultivar Forastero cocoa seedlings on Ultisol medium. Application of NPK Grower fertilizer at a dose of 3 g per plant affected all parameters of 84 Forastero cultivar cocoa seedlings on Ultisol medium.
