Persepsi Pekebun Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Penerapan Sertifikasi Ispo Oleh Gapoktan Manunggal Sakti Di Kabupaten Siak
ABSTRACT
Smallholder farmers, one of the upstream supply chain actors, certainly have an essential role in creating an integrated supply chain system in overcoming sustainability issues and increasing productivity in oil palm plantations. The Indonesian government presented the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification to address problems and respond to issues that are developing in society. The Association of Farmers Groups (Gapoktan) is one of the institutions that can become a forum for oil palm planters to obtain ISPO certification. Gapoktan Manunggal Sakti in Dayun District, Siak Regency, obtained the ISPO certificate in 2021 for as many as 47 oil palm smallholders. The research was conducted from November 2022 to February 2023 using the survey method. The saturated sampling technique (census) determines the sample, where all population members are used as samples. This study was analyzed using Likert’s summated rating scale (SLR). The purpose of this study was to evaluate smallholders' perceptions towards implementing the ISPO certification by Gapoktan Manunggal Sakti. The results show that the perceptions of smallholders regarding the implementation of ISPO certification by Gapoktan Manunggal Sakti are reasonably good. Oil palm growers have not experienced the benefits promised by ISPO as a whole.
