Perancangan Paru Center Di Pekanbaru Dengan Pendekatan Desain Biophilic
ABSTRACT
The human body's ability to breathe and maintain circulation of blood and oxygen is largely dependent on the lungs. The lungs require additional treatment because they are an important component of the respiratory system and are necessary for optimal survival. Obstructive and infectious diseases of the respiratory system are the two main categories. Respiratory diseases associated with obstructive pulmonary disease include asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). India, Indonesia, China, the Philippines and Pakistan are the five countries with the highest incidence of TB cases. One of the 10 infectious diseases that can kill people around the world is tuberculosis. The bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which mostly affects the lungs, is directly responsible for chronic disease. Only 59.9% of TB patients in Pekanbaru recovered, still far from the target of 85% set by the Ministry of Health. Adequate facilities and containers are needed to overcome this problem, facilities for the treatment of infectious diseases and obstructive pulmonary diseases are still lacking in Riau Province. The author designed the Paru Center in Pekanbaru City as a place for healing infectious respiratory system diseases and obstructive respiratory system diseases. The design of the Lung Center applies the theme of Biophilic Design, with the hope that the use of Biophilic design will be able to make people get a more beautiful atmosphere and blend with nature while doing activities in it. The application of design is applied to the exterior and interior of the building in order to provide an atmosphere that is able to cure the diseases of the sufferers in it.
