Pengaruh Flow Bio-Sludge Dan Proses Di Screw Press Terhadap Consistency Sludge
ABSTRACT
Flow bio-sludge to mixing tank is the sludge flow from bio-sludge that will be transferred into the mixing tank to be processed into sludge cake, which will be used as fuel in the power boiler. The dewatering process uses a screw press, where the parameters involved are speed, torque, and feed flow. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of flow bio-sludge and screw press process on consistency and how to adjust the screw press process parameters to achieve optimal sludge consistency. The research was carried out by analyzing the fiber content, outlet and inlet sludge consistency. The results of this study were obtained through the analysis of secondary and primary data using scatter graphs that show the relationship between screw press parameters and sludge consistency. It was found that using low speed can result in high consistency, with an appropriate speed of 20-30% and high torque for high sludge consistency, with an appropriate torque of 28-40% for optimal sludge pressing process. The relationship between feed flow and sludge consistency is inversely proportional, with higher feed flow resulting in lower consistency. This is due to the large amount of sludge that enters, making it difficult to process the sludge optimally because the speed used is high. Screw speed adjustment can be done by considering the inlet consistency, feed flow, headbox level, and the current operating condition of the equipment."
