ABSTRACT
Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) is a chemical used as a bleaching agent in the bleaching
pulp process. At PT RAPP's Integrated ClO2 Plant, Chlorine dioxide solution with
a concentration of 10 ± 0.2 g/L was obtained through the absorption process of
ClO2 gas with chilled water in the Absorber. The concentration of the desired
solution is determined by how efficiently the absorption process occurs. This study
aims to determine the efficiency value of the absorption process that occurs in
Absorber # 5 using the linear regression analysis method. From the results of the
analysis that has been carried out, ClO2 solution obtained with a concentration of
10 g/L at a chilled water flow rate of 47.86 m3/hr, a gas concentration of 10%,
Absorber inlet pressure of -1.28 kPa, chilled water temperature
