Pengaruh Kinerja Mixer Terhadap Post Kappa Number, Konsumsi Oksigen Dan Alkali Pada Proses Delignifikasi Oksigen Kraft Pulp Washing Fiberline #2
ABSTRACT
The washing stage is a stage carried out in the pulp manufacturing industry to separate the cooked pulp from the black liquor content originating from the cooking stage in the digester. In the washing stage, there is one step that can reduce the kappa number value still contained in the pulp up to 40-50%, namely the delignification oxygen stage. Oxygen delignification uses oxygen and alkali to bind the remaining lignin in the pulp so that the resulting kappa number can decrease. The addition of oxygen and alkali is influenced by the performance of the mixer which is in the delignification oxygen stage. Mixer performance can be seen from the current value of the mixer so that the mixing performance that occurs between oxygen and pulp in the mixer can be known. In addition, the performance of the mixer is also influenced by the consistency of the pulp that enters the mixer, that is, the higher the consistency that enters, the better the mixing that occurs. However, it should be noted that the mixer used is a medium consistency mixer, so it is necessary to maintain inlet consistency in the range of 9 – 12%. The result of the correlation value between consistency and mixer performance is 0.8014 which shows a strong relationship between the two variables. In addition, the results of the correlation values obtained between mixer performance on oxygen consumption, alkali consumption, and post ODL kappa number values were 0.7166; 0.7004; and 0.8014 which also shows a strong relationship between variables.
