Aktivitas Antioksidan Dan Inhibitor Α-Glukosidase Ekstrak Rumput Laut Coklat (Sargassum Sp.) Di Ekstraksi Secara Bertingkat

ABSTRACT
Sargassum sp. contains bioactive compounds is used as natural antioxidants and alpha-glucosidase enzyme inhibitors. This study aims to determine the bioactive compounds, total phenolics, antioxidant activity, and alpha-glucosidase enzyme inhibitors from extracts of Sargassum sp. The research method was an experiment to extract Sargassum sp using a multilevel maceration method with nhexane (non-polar), ethyl acetate (semi-polar), and ethanol (polar) solvents. Data were analyzed descriptively, with two repetitions. The analysis parameters consisted of yield, bioactive compounds, total phenols, antioxidant activity (DPPH and FRAP), and alpha glucosidase enzyme inhibitors. The yields of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol extract were 0.48%, 0.57%, and 0.65%. The bioactive compounds of the n-hexane extract are steroids/terpenoids, saponins, and phenols, ethyl acetate alkaloids, steroids/terpenoids, saponins and phenols, and ethanol, namely steroidal/terpenoid alkaloids, saponins and phenols. The total phenolic extracts of n-hexane, ethyl acetate and ethanol were 16331.50 ppm, 18876.91 ppm and 17086.04 ppm. Antioxidant activity of Sargassum sp. extract. using the DPPH method had IC50 values of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol were 524.40 ppm, 224.93 ppm, and 297.28 ppm respectively. The IC50 of nhexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol extracts using the FRAP method were 99.04 ppm, 36.55 ppm, and 45.39 ppm respectively. The ability to extract Sargassum sp. inhibiting alpha glucosidase enzyme activity with inhibition values of each extract were n-hexane 11.717% ethyl acetate 0.193%, and 6.381% ethanol. Sargassum sp extract contains bioactive components of alkaloids, phenolics, steroids/terpenoids and saponins. The highest total phenolic and antioxidant activity in the ethyl acetate extract were 18876.91 ppm, 224.93 ppm (DPPH) and 36.55 ppm (FRAP). The alpha-glucosidase enzyme inhibitor activity of Sargassum sp extract had the highest inhibition value in n-hexane.
