“Analisa Optimasi Calender Dengan Menggunakan Hard Roll Pada Mesin Calender Terhadap Kualitas Kertas Mr08075c”
ABSTRACT
The growth of technology and the world today is very fast as time passes. One industry that has a big role for the economy in Indonesia is the pulp and paper industry. Paper is defined as a thin material produced from fibers derived from pulp. One of the processes in papermaking is calendering. Calendering is a refinement process carried out with the help of pressure and heat. One of the qualities that need to be considered in the calendering process is thickness and roughness, because the density and thickness of the sheets on the machine must be the same. In the quality of the MRO8075C type has a high quality standard so that to achieve it can be through pressure control and temperature adjustment. using the observation and analysis method on the production of MR08075C grade. The results of the observations made aim to determine the optimal point of calendering. From the observations made, it was found that, to pursue this thickness, we can control the calender loading. However, it can also be done in another way, namely the addition of PCC filler to the paper so that it can fill the empty cavities between the fiber and make the thickness of the paper increase.
