Pengaruh Kompos Solid Dan Pupuk Npk Terhadap Sifat Fisik Tanah, Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt.)
ABSTRACT
The production of sweet corn is influenced by the level of soil fertility. One alternative that can be done to increase soil fertility is by improving cultivation techniques through a fertilization system with the application of solid compost and NPK fertilizer. This study aims to identify the effect of the interaction of solid compost and NPK fertilizer, a single factor of solid compost and NPK fertilizer on soil pHysical properties and obtain a combination of treatments that produce the highest growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt.). The study used a complete randomized design consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely the provision of solid compost consisting of three levels: K1 (20 t.ha-1), K2 (30 t.ha-1), K3 (40 t.ha-1) and the application of NPK fertilizer consisting of three levels: P1 (200 kg.ha-1), P2 (300 kg.ha-1), P3 (400 kg.ha-1). Data analysis with anova and continued by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test ( DNMRT ) on level of signification 5%. The results showed that the interaction of solid compost and NPK fertilizer did not have an influence on all observations. Applying solid compost with different doses does not give an improvement to the pHysical properties of the soil. Application of NPK fertilizer at a dose of 400 kg.ha-1 increased the diameter of the stem (26,11 mm), accelerated the flowering life of female flowers (47,96 DAP), increased the weight of the cob (503,22 g), increased production per plot (5,84 kg) and increased the weight of the cob without petals (359,62 g).
