Pemberian Pupuk Hayati Pada Budidaya Microgreens Tanaman Pakcoy (Brassica Rapa L.)
ABSTRACT
Microgreens are a type of vegetable that is in great demand and is a favourite among people who are health conscious, because it contains natural antioxidant compounds that are good for the body's consumption. Microgreens cultivation technique is one of the solutions in utilising minimal land limitations and can be a business field for urban communities because it does not require a lot of capital and large land. Pakcoy plants (Brassica rapa L.) belong to the Brassicaceae family which is often used for Microgreens cultivation. Microgreens are usually consumed fresh, therefore the production process requires environmentally friendly materials. Proper fertilisation is needed to increase the ability of seeds to germinate and increase the production of Microgreens.
This research was conducted at home yard, Jl. Kamboja, Kelurahan Simpang baru, Kecamatan Tampan, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province from 05 May 2023 to 23 May 2023. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomised design (CRD). The treatment tested was the concentration of biological fertiliser (H) consisting of H0 (0 ml.l-1), H1 (5 ml.l-1), H2 (10 ml.l-1), H3 (20 ml.l-1) and H4 (30 ml.l-1). Parameters observed were plant height, root length, number of leaves and plant fresh weight. All data were statistically analysed using analysis of variance and further tested using Duncan's multiple range test (DNMRT) at the 5% level.
The results showed that the application of biological fertiliser only increased the plant height and root length of Microgreens pakcoy, but did not increase its growth. Based on the research that has been carried out, in the cultivation of microgreens pakcoy plants do not need to add biological fertilisers.
